Nature Expedition Tours was founded in Chitwan by Laxman Chaudhary, a native of the region with more than 25 years of experience in Nepal’s hospitality sector. Alongside his management career, he earned his Nature Guide and Trekking Guide licenses and led trips himself. Not many people who sell tours have actually led them. Laxman has.

Laxman and our team have worked this region for over two decades. Our guides are trained naturalists and licensed trackers who grew up around Chitwan's forests and Nepal's mountain trails. That local depth shows in every tour we run.

Our connection to Chitwan goes beyond tourism. Laxman has volunteered with organizations including Community Health Center Nepal, Lions Club, and Medora Nepal Health Foundation, supporting blood donation drives, free dental camps, and eye treatment programs for local communities. We believe that responsible travel means investing in the places and people that make these experiences possible. That is not a policy statement. It is just how we were raised.

I have spent more than 25 years in Nepal’s hospitality industry, most of it right here in Chitwan. That kind of time teaches you what travelers actually need, which details matter, and how to solve problems before they ever reach a guest.
When I started Nature Expedition Tours, I was drawing on everything those years had shown me. The idea has always been simple: if every detail is handled properly, guests just get to be here and enjoy it.
What matters to me is that every person who travels with us leaves feeling it was worth it. That standard has not changed since day one.
